Financial World Cup
Financial Ice Hockey Federation was created in
New York in April 2003 after several years of informal Ice Hockey games
between markets from Stockholm, Helsinki and Wall Street.
Already 2002
 the
first Financial Ice Hockey World Cup was played in Stockholm and Helsinki
and since then it has been a yearly tournament hosted in Financial Cities.
It was hosted by New York 2003, London 2004, Riga 2005 and Reykjavik 2006.
2007 we for the first time combine the Financial World
Cup with IIHF World Cup for Oldtimers in Gothenburg. 2008 the tournament will move to
the Olympic City Beijing....

 I think the Tournament in Gothenburg has the
potential to be very big....
.. and it is my hope that we will have teams from 3
continents for the first time. I expect teams from Stockholm, Helsinki, London,
Riga, Zurich, New York, Toronto, Tokyo, Beijing and Soul to participate...
.. and if
Moscow and Prag wants to join us we will open the door for 12 Teams....
